ILOILO – Ajuy Mayor Juan Alvarez received P400,000 aid from Governor Arthur Defensor Sr. on Monday in support to Gaward Kalinga’s project in Brgy. San Antonio.
Alvarez said the donation will be used to construct the building that will house the proposed community bakery of GK.
“The livelihood project is part of the long-term goal in making a self-sufficient GK community,” he explained.
Prior to the governor’s donation, the Italian government provided the town with complete set of equipment to put up of the bakery.
But the lack of funds for the building prevented the town from establishing the project.
“On behalf of the beneficiaries, we would like to thank the governor for his support for without it, we cannot make this happen,” he stressed. #2014News
