Guv donates water system in Passi City

ILOILO – Governor Arthur Defensor Sr.  has donated a water system worth P387,000 to Barangay Aglalana, a populated upland village in Passi City, here this week.

The project, which aims to provide potable and safe water supply, is now benefiting 3,000 residents including the pupils of Aglalana Elementary School.

Defensor said the project will be managed and maintained by Aglalana Green Farmers Association headed by Armando Parcon.

The city government, through Mayor Jesry Palmares and Vice Mayor Bonifacio Barbero, has pledged to help the association in terms of logistic and financial support.

“For as long as the project concerns water, I will not hesitate to give it to those who will request since I know how important this is to our lives,” Defensor said

On his part, Parcon thanked the governor for the project.  “We have been wishing for this kind of project and we are thankful that the governor granted it. Finally, we now have a safe water supply to drink. Thank you governor,” Parcon said. (Jezza A. Nepomoceno/Capitol News)
