4th most wanted man fall in Bacolod

BACOLOD CITY, May 30 (PNA) — The Bacolod City Police Station operatives arrested the fourth most wanted person in this city recently.

Murder suspect Junelo Laud Jr., 24, who is wanted for murder, was arrested at Gonzaga Extension, Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.

Judge Manuel Cardinal Jr. of the Regional Trial Court Branch 49 ordered Laud’s arrest relative to Criminal Case No. 1033379. No bail was recommended for Laud’s temporary liberty.

In a related development, two other suspected criminals were also arrested in separate operations in Sagay City and Murcia town in Negros Occidental.

Arrested were Adonis Cañete, 24, of Calle Reles, Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion 1, Sagay City and Michael Bernales, 28, of Purok Mabinuligon, Barangay Iglaw-an, Murcia.

Cañete was arrested for frustrated and attempted murder (Criminal Case Nos. 4136-S and 4137-S) filed before the sala of Judge Renato Muñez of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 60, Cadiz City.

Bernales, on the other hand, was facing charges for “statutory rape” in Criminal Case No. 13-37312.

His warrant of arrest was issued on January 28, 2013 by Judge Philadelfa Pagapong Agraviador, of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 43, Bacolod City. (PNA)
