Poll loser questions solon’s victory in Negros

BACOLOD CITY, May 29 (PNA) — Outgoing Provincial Board member Emilio Yulo is questioning the victory of his uncle, re-elected Fifth District Rep. Alejandro Mirasol, in Negros Occidental.

Yulo said his lawyers are now preparing their camp’s election protest to be filed before the House of Representatives Election Tribunal in Metro Manila.

He, however, refused to elaborate the bases of their protests. Yulo lost to his uncle when he only got 70,161 votes compared to the latter’s 73,184 votes.

Mirasol, on the other hand, could not be reached for comment as of press time. (PNA)
