BACOLOD CITY, May 5 (PNA) — One of the senatorial candidates of Liberal Party (LP) affirmed that Team Pnoy remains solid despite the controversies fronting their candidacies.
“We are very solid,” declared senatorial candidate Juan Edgardo Angara in response to media’s questions during his campaign sorties here on Saturday.
Angara said there is no “crack” within the administration’s senatorial slate despite the allegations of reelectionist Senator Loren Legarda.
Legarda became emotional last week when she denied allegations that she did not declare her condominium in New York in her statements of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).
Legarda, who is leading in pre-election surveys, said the accusation is merely part of black propaganda that her fellow senatorial candidate launched against her.
But as far as he is concerned, Angara said that nothing has changed in Team Pnoy.
He also reiterated that what united them in Team Pnoy is not the fact that they are close friends but “being behind the president’s reform agenda.”
He also added that he is not keen on getting the top spot in the Senate. “I’m more concern on the 10th and 12th posts instead,” he quipped. (PNA)
