BACOLOD CITY, April 22 (PNA) — Willian Ong, the president of Bacolod Capitol Hill Land Development Corp. (BCHLDC), led the groundbreaking and capsule laying of 888’s Chinatown Square Phase II along Gatuslao Street here on Monday.
The mall expansion costing more or less P400 million will rise in 1.1 hectare property formerly occupied by Negros Occidental Provincial Jail before the year ends.
888 Chinatown Square is considered as one of budget-friendly malls in Bacolod City owned and operated by BCHLDC.
The mall’s extension is going to be a three-storey building offering additional 30,000 square meters of commercial spaces and parking areas.
The Phase II of 888 Chinatown Square was made possible after BCHLDC secured a lease contract with the provincial government of Negros Occidental two months ago.
Under the contract, the mall operator will pay the provincial government a lease of P75.10 per square meter for 50 consecutive years. (PNA)
