BACOLOD CITY, April 17 (PNA) — Two suspected drug pushers in Victorias City, Negros Occidental are facing charges for violating Republic Act 9165 (Anti-Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Ronnie Fuentes, 37 and Wilson Escalera, 42 were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the joint elements of Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group and Negros Occidental Provincial Police Office Intelligence Unit, Monday.
The two were arrested when Escalera handed to a police poseur-buyer, PO1 Michael Balquin, one small heat-sealed plastic sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P500 bill.
Also recovered from their possession are five small elongated heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu, one elongated unsealed plastic containing suspected shabu, two disposable lighters, and one improvised tooter.
The suspects’ cellphones, P1,149 suspected proceeds form illegal drugs, the marked money used in the operation and one pair of scissors were also seized.
Police reports said the estimated street value of the suspected illegal drugs seized is pegged at P6,500.
All the evidences recovered are now in Negros Occidental Provincial Crime Laboratory Office in Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City for chemical examination. (PNA)
