BACOLOD CITY, March 14 (PNA) — This summer, close to a hundred children will spend a day just to learn how to fly a kite in Negros Occidental.
The kite flying clinic set on March 31 in Sipalay City is organized by the Philippine Kite Association in partnership with the provincial government.
The recreation activity aims to preserve kite flying by bringing back the interest of children instead of playing electronic games.
But in doing so, the children of today should first experience the thrill and fun of kite flying, said Tourism Officer Cristine Mansinares.
The activity is also a sort of family bonding since the parents or guardians of the participating children will be involved as well, she said.
The children’s creativity will also be discovered during the duration of the activity for they will prepare and create the kites themselves. (PNA)
