BACOLOD CITY, March 4 (PNA) — The National Food Authority Employees Association (NFAEA) here in Negros Occidental has extended financial assistance to two of their co-workers severely injured in a road mishap last week.
NFAEA-Negros Occidental Chapter President Martha Ferrer said they have given a total of P42,000 assistance to Rudy Katipunan and P7,000 for Victor Pableo Jr.
Katipunan, the driver who is still undergoing operation in Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in Bacolod City, suffered fractured ribs and legs.
Pableo, on the other hand, suffered fractures in the spine and expected to get out of the hospital by Monday.
Ferrer said some of the employees also contributed P5,000 for five other employees who sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The seven employees of NFA were injured in a road accident in Barangay Igmayaan, Don Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental on February 26.
