BACOLOD CITY, Feb. 25 (PNA) — Booters from the Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA) and Cebu Football Association (CFA) shone in the recently-concluded Philippine Football Federation (PFF) festival in San Carlos City.
The tournament is PFF’s grassroots football development program to scout elite players in each category for national youth teams.
NOFA, represented by players from San Carlos City Football Club (SCCFC), defeated CFA in the under-16 girl’s category, 2-0.
The CFA, however, won against Iloilo Football Association (IFA) in the under-13 boy’s category, 2-1.
SCCFC secretary general John Carmona said the PFF will select among the winning teams potential players who will join the national team in the Asian Football Confederation football festival in Sabah, Malaysia on the first week of June and in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on the second week of June. (PNA)
